I’ve been paying more attention to my skincare routine lately, especially the step that often feels small but actually changes how my skin behaves throughout the day: toner.
It’s become less of an “extra” and more of a quiet reset after cleansing.
Two toners that I’ve spent a good amount of time with are the Tulus Hyalutonic and the Benton Deep Green Tea Toner. They each bring a very different mood to my routine, and I didn’t expect to end up switching between them depending on how my skin feels.
1. Tulus Hyalutonic
When my skin feels tight or a bit dull, I reach for this one without thinking too much. The texture leans slightly watery but still has that soft cushioning feel when it goes on. I like that it doesn’t sit heavy, yet it gives my skin a more comfortable, hydrated sensation that lasts longer than I first expected.
What stands out to me is how simple it feels in use. There’s no overwhelming scent or complicated feeling afterward—just a calmer surface on my skin that makes everything I apply next feel smoother.
2. Benton Deep Green Tea Toner
This one gives a completely different experience. When I use it, I notice a more refreshing, slightly cooling sensation that feels especially good when my skin feels a bit irritated or tired from the day. It has a lightweight water-like consistency that spreads quickly and evenly. I tend to reach for this toner when my skin feels a bit overwhelmed—like after a long day outside or when my routine has been a bit heavy with other products.
I don’t really stick to just one. Instead, I rotate them depending on what my skin seems to ask for. The Tulus Hyalutonic usually comes in when I want comfort and a soft hydrated base. The Benton Deep Green Tea Toner is more of a “reset button” when things feel a little off or reactive.
