Hi Friends! Eyeshadow palettes are dangerous in the best way. I always tell myself I already own enough shades, and then one palette catches my attention because of a single shimmer or an unexpected color story. Suddenly I’m imagining outfits, lighting, dinner plans, even though I was only supposed to “browse.”
Lately, two palettes have been living in completely different corners of my routine. One feels dramatic and celestial, almost theatrical. The other feels softer, sweeter, and easier to wear on slow afternoons. And honestly, I like that contrast.
1. PAT McGRATH LABS Celestial Divinity Palette
PAT McGRATH LABS Celestial Divinity Palette feels less like makeup and more like opening a jewelry box under dim lighting. The first thing that struck me was the texture of the shimmer shades. They don’t just sparkle—they shift depending on how the light hits them. Some shades look almost wet on the eyelids, while others create that sparkling “galaxy” effect without feeling chunky or heavy. I especially love using this palette at night.
2. MASAMI Cosmetics Velvet Eyeshadow Quad – Sweet Berry
MASAMI Cosmetics Velvet Eyeshadow Quad in Sweet Berry gives a completely different energy. Where Celestial Divinity feels cosmic and bold, Sweet Berry feels romantic and relaxed. The berry-toned shades create that soft flushed-eye look that somehow makes the whole face appear warmer and more awake. It reminds me of late afternoon sunlight hitting rosy cheeks after being outside too long. What I enjoy most is how easy the palette feels. The colors naturally blend into each other without needing too much effort or precision. Even when I apply it casually with my fingers, it still looks cohesive.
I tend to reach for Sweet Berry during quieter days—coffee shop mornings, casual lunches, or moments when I want makeup to feel comforting instead of dramatic. The velvet texture keeps everything looking smooth instead of powdery, which makes the overall look feel softer and more wearable.
I think eyeshadow becomes more interesting when it stops being only about color and starts becoming atmosphere. Some palettes feel like midnight parties. Others feel like quiet weekends and soft sweaters.
