Hello Lykkers! I'm very picky when it comes to mascara. I want length, volume, curl, and most importantly—I don't want to look like a raccoon by the end of the day. I've tried plenty of mascaras that looked amazing for the first hour and then completely disappeared or smudged everywhere.

These are three that have left a much better impression on me.

This mascara surprised me in the best way. What I noticed immediately was how well it held a curl. My lashes tend to drop throughout the day, so finding a mascara that keeps them lifted is always a win. It also adds nice length without making my lashes look stiff or crunchy. The overall effect is defined, fluttery lashes that still look natural. Definitely a product I'd happily repurchase.

E.L.F. Big Mood Waterproof Mascara — $8

For the price, this one performs way better than I expected. I usually have low expectations for waterproof mascaras because some can feel heavy or difficult to remove, but this one gives good volume while staying put throughout the day. I've worn it during long days out, humid weather, and even a few emotional moments, and it held up surprisingly well. If you're looking for a budget-friendly mascara that won't immediately smudge, this is a solid option.

Milani Highly Rated Mascara — $12

This mascara is the one I reach for when I want a little extra drama. It gives my lashes a fuller, more noticeable look while still separating them nicely. I like that I can build it up without my lashes turning into one giant clump. The result is a soft volume effect that makes my eyes look more awake and defined.

The fact that all three are under $15 makes me like them even more. CoverGirl is my pick for everyday length and curl, E.L.F. wins for affordability and staying power, and Milani is what I grab when I want my lashes to stand out a little more. If you opened my makeup bag right now, chances are at least one of these would be inside.
