Let’s rate these foundations, Lykkers. I picked all three during the Sephora sale because I was genuinely curious if the hype was real. Some of them surprised me, and one of them… not so much.
So here’s my honest skin-on-glass, everyday-wear kind of review.
1. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
My rating: 7/10 (Pretty finish, but didn’t fully wow me the way I thought it would.)
This is one of those “legendary” foundations that everyone talks about, so I had high expectations from the start. I wanted that flawless, expensive-looking glow people always describe. On my skin, it gave a really beautiful satin-luminous finish that looks very polished in photos. But when it came to coverage, I kept feeling like something was missing for my preference.
2. Glossier Stretch Fluid Foundation
My rating: 8/10 (Super wearable and skin-like, just not full glam coverage.)
I kept seeing this one all over my feed, so I finally gave in during the sale. It has that easy, effortless vibe that Glossier is known for, and honestly, it fits right into that aesthetic. On application, it gives a natural satin finish that still looks like skin, just a bit more even and smooth. What I like is how lightweight it feels. It doesn’t sit heavy, and it’s very forgiving on everyday makeup days when I don’t want a full glam base. Coverage is decent, but still on the lighter-to-medium side depending on how you build it.
3. Haus Labs Foundation
My rating: 9/10 (Reliable, flattering, and the one I actually keep coming back to.)
Okay, this one surprised me the most in a good way. I didn’t expect to love it this much, but it quickly became the one I kept reaching for. The coverage is medium to full, and it still manages to look natural without feeling cakey. What really stood out to me is how smooth it sits on my skin, even on dry or slightly textured days. It doesn’t cling in an annoying way, and it gives that healthy, even complexion look that I personally love. Plus, the skincare-inspired formula makes it feel like more than just makeup.
Trying these three side by side really showed me how different “good foundations” can be. Armani is that classic soft-luxury glow, Glossier is the easy everyday skin tint vibe, and Haus Labs is the one that balances coverage and comfort the best for me. If I had to pick just one to repurchase right now, it would honestly be Haus Labs.
