Welcome Lykkers! Mascara is one of those products that can completely change how awake I look. Even on days when I'm only wearing sunscreen and lip balm, I'll usually add a coat of mascara because it instantly makes me look more put together.
Over the years, I've learned that not every mascara gives the same effect. Some are great for natural everyday lashes, while others are perfect when I want extra drama. These three have been getting a lot of love from me lately.
1. Rose All Day Cosmetics Mascara
Price: $7–$10
This is usually my choice when I want something easy and fuss-free. I like how it defines my lashes without making them look too heavy. The finish feels natural, which makes it perfect for everyday makeup or those "no-makeup makeup" days when I just want a little enhancement. What I appreciate most is that it gives my lashes a cleaner, more lifted appearance without looking overly dramatic.
2. Maybelline Sky High Mascara
Price: $10–$14
I finally understood the hype the first time I used this mascara. The biggest thing I noticed was the length. My lashes looked noticeably longer after just a few coats, and I loved how separated they appeared. Whenever I want my eyes to stand out a little more, this is usually the mascara I choose. It gives that fluttery lash effect that makes me feel like I've put more effort into my makeup than I actually did. It's one of those products that keeps finding its way back into my makeup bag no matter how many new mascaras I try.
3. Hangover Voluminous Fiber Mascara
Price: $8–$12
This is the mascara I reach for when I want maximum impact. Compared to the other two, this one gives my lashes a fuller and more dramatic appearance. The fiber formula helps create extra volume, which I especially love for dinners, events, or days when I'm wearing a fuller makeup look. Whenever I use this mascara, my lashes immediately become the focus of my eye makeup.
I used to think I needed one perfect mascara, but now I actually enjoy having options. Some mornings call for soft, natural lashes, while others make me want all the volume and length I can get. These three mascaras each give me something different, which is probably why they've stayed in my collection for so long. At this point, choosing a mascara feels less like following a routine and more like picking the mood I want for the day.
